Laboratory Sampler

Job Summary

UCI Health is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Sampler to join our team. As a Laboratory Sampler, you will play a critical role in the clinical laboratory, responsible for collecting and processing specimens for testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up specimens from various locations and log them in for processing
• Load processors and sort multiple specimens for testing
• Change processors and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Organize supplies and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Print labels and worksheets as needed
• Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory control, and filing
• Process cytology specimens, including GYN, Non-GYN, FNA, and Histology samples
• Appropriately stain cytology or Histology samples and maintain stainers
• May assist with transcription or other office tasks as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 16 units of applicable Science (such as Chemistry, Biology) and Algebra at the college level
• Knowledge of medical computer software systems
• Legal Right to Work in the United States
• Vaccination Policies
• Smoking and Tobacco Policy
