Technical Overview

The Principal Electrical Engineer - IoT will be responsible for designing, adapting, and troubleshooting wireless communications circuits for performance, cost, and manufacturability. This role requires strong knowledge of digital circuits and the interaction between firmware and electronics in a communications system. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 7+ years of wireless embedded systems experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting hardware for communications applications.
  • Mentoring junior engineers in engineering best practices, including task management, Gantt charts, root cause analysis, circuit/PCB design, and PCBA manufacturing.
  • Leading technology investigations, developing system requirements, defining future architectures, and reusability strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of wireless embedded systems experience.
  • Understanding of wireless regulatory certification standards such as FCC, IC, CE, etc.
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy protocols and features and understanding power management and ultra-low power embedded hardware and firmware implementations.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience.
