Job Summary

The Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach in various technical degree programs. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for creating a performance-based learning environment for students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to help students achieve course outcomes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver instruction based on course competencies and performance levels, incorporating activities and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Maintain accurate student records, submit required reports, and meet response deadlines.
  • Meet with classes as assigned, maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment.
  • Utilize learning technology, including Canvas, Starfish, and other software, to support teaching and student record-keeping.
  • Communicate effectively with students, respond to questions, and provide timely feedback on course completion.
  • Participate in the College's assessment process, professional development, and in-service activities.
Minimum Qualifications

Ability to meet the qualifications under Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) and Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements. A minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent relevant occupational experience is required, with at least one year of experience within the last five years. A bachelor's degree in the subject area or a closely related field is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in teaching and working with diverse populations in a post-secondary setting is preferred. Subject area-related industry licensures or certifications are also desirable.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily indoor, with occasional outdoor activities. The physical demands of the job vary depending on the adjunct position, but may include standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
