The RingCentral Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team is in search of a technically adept individual to lead various FedRAMP-related security initiatives while managing daily team operations.

As a FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring Automation Specialist, you will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our organization's FedRAMP compliance strategies.

Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to optimize continuous monitoring tasks, refine risk assessment procedures, and maintain ongoing compliance with FedRAMP standards.

This position can be fully remote or a hybrid role based at one of our office locations.


Key Responsibilities:


- Design and develop automation solutions to enhance FedRAMP continuous monitoring tasks, including security controls testing, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reporting.
- Assess and select suitable automation tools and technologies to support FedRAMP compliance initiatives.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing systems and tools to ensure smooth data flow and interoperability.
- Create scripts, code, and automation workflows using programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript to automate manual tasks related to FedRAMP compliance.
- Develop automated reporting systems to generate FedRAMP compliance reports, dashboards, and metrics, ensuring accuracy and completeness of compliance data and documentation.
- Document automation workflows, procedures, and configurations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation to support audit and compliance needs.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of automation solutions to ensure reliability, accuracy, and effectiveness, addressing any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and compliance, to identify automation opportunities and requirements for continuous monitoring.
- Perform regular reviews and audits of automated monitoring systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness in detecting security incidents and compliance deviations.


Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, focusing on security and compliance monitoring.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting for automation purposes.
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with frameworks like Django and Celery.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with their associated security services.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues and developing innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship is required to comply with federal government security requirements, and employment will be contingent upon obtaining the Public Trust Verification.

Education/Prerequisites:
- Bachelor's Degree in Security or Information Security field.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Automation Engineer (CAE), are preferred.
- Understanding of FedRAMP requirements, NIST Standards, and federal cybersecurity regulations.
- Experience in identifying, managing, and reporting risks and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Experience performing FedRAMP assessments, authorization, and continuous monitoring of cloud service offerings is a plus.
