Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and caring EFDA (preferred) Dental Assistant to join our general dentistry team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive and supportive team environment to ensure a positive experience for every patient.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by prioritizing patient needs and exceeding their expectations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations and federal guidelines.
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up instruments, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Sterilize instruments according to established protocols.
  • Assist dentists during procedures using 4-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Perform lab tasks as required.
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked dental room.
  • Accurately record and document patient information, treatment plans, and dentist notes.
  • Advise front desk staff on patient scheduling to optimize clinical time.
  • Manage clinical workflow to ensure staff remains on schedule.
  • Ensure dental equipment remains in good working order.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience as a dental assistant.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with primary computer systems (EagleSoft) or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
