About the Role

Mayo Clinic is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures for patients of all ages, under the supervision of qualified physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Autonomously perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Review patient history and supporting clinical data for medical necessity and confirm imaging orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Exercise independent judgment in the interpretation and analysis of exams, providing a preliminary diagnosis of technical findings to physicians.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a related field and graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program.
  • ARDMS registration (or registry eligibility) in abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN), and vascular technology (RVT).
  • CPR/BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
