Automotive Technician

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining delivery vehicles and ensuring they are in good working condition.
Responsibilities:- Meet D.O.T requirements required by job assignment
- Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders and stairs, stand, walk, and turn/pivot frequently throughout duration of workday
- Exercise simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks
- Operate standard and manual transmission
- Operate power and pneumatic tools
- Must have an active driver's license issued by the state
- Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday as well as Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location's need
- Must possess the required hand tools required to perform the applicable job assignment
- Current documented automotive/heavy equipment experience – MINUMUM 1-3 YEARS
- Experience engine performance diagnostic, scan tools and personal computer
- Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday on a consistent basis
The starting pay for this position is $36.40 per hour with one (1) year progression to TOP PAY $45.50 For union-represented postings, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
