About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team in Ellsworth, Maine. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, conducting health assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Patient-Centered Care: Conduct thorough health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address patients' short- and long-term needs.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare accurate and complete medical records, maintain a safe working environment, and adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Collaboration and Education: Work collaboratively with other providers and healthcare practitioners to treat patients efficiently and plan coordinated dispositions.
  • Continuing Education and Mentorship: Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge, attend educational workshops, and participate in professional societies.

Requirements

  • Education and Licensure: Master's degree, certification by a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certifying body, DEA license, and BLS certification.
  • Relevant Experience: Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care settings is preferred.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Enjoy collaborating with others, being part of a strong team dynamic, and communicating effectively.
  • Compassion and Technical Skills: Demonstrate kindness, understanding, and patience when interacting with patients, and possess technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and clinical management systems.
