About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Racking Foreman/Construction Manager to join our team at Aerotek. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of solar tracking systems on large-scale ground mount solar sites across the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers on site, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience and providing product and systems expertise to maximize customer value.
  • Translate and interpret wiring/construction schematics to support construction installation, including civil, structural, and electrical aspects.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA safety regulations and safety standards, conducting, documenting, and reporting safety meetings as required.
  • Assist in pre-planning projects, including plan review and comments, manpower, project sequencing, material takeoffs, and reviewing subcontractors' scopes of work.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project managers, project engineers, and clients.
  • Work with project management to develop accurate construction schedule forecasts and create daily reports to track construction progress, material deliveries, installation issues, tool issues, and other site activities.
Requirements
  • 4 years of utility-scale solar construction experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role as a superintendent or racking foreman or hands-on field construction manager or solar QC manager.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/reporting.
  • Understanding of construction math and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain client relationships.
  • Safe working practice.
  • Success at managing and delivering construction projects on schedule and under budget.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Willing to travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Previous solar electricity experience highly desired.
