Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Per Diem Breast Sonographer to join our team. As a Breast Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of ultrasound procedures, including general, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts exams. You will work closely with our team to provide optimal, complete, and accurate images for diagnostic non-invasive assessment.
Key Responsibilities- Ultrasound Procedures: Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, pregnancy, and small parts exams, in compliance with ultrasound protocol.
- Image Acquisition: Obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, ensuring that all exams are complete and accurate.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient history, images, and exam results for analysis and interpretation.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure that all exams meet established standards.
- Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Ultrasound.
- Registration: Registered in either Abdomen or OB and must be registered in within one year of hire. RVT registry is a plus.
- Certifications: CPR Certification.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.
