We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Clinic Registered Nurse to join our team at San Juan Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Patient Care Team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist providers with patient care, including assisting with diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Perform basic life support in emergency situations
- Provide personalized care and assistance to patients, following our Mission, Vision, and Philosophy
- Room patients, obtain and/or verify medical history, medication information, and vital signs
- Administer medications as directed in accordance with nursing standards
- Document pertinent information in a legible manner, in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards
- Communicate with patients, utilizing excellent verbal and writing skills
- Perform lab tests, following clinic and regulatory standards
- Adhere to infection control procedures, including use of personal protective equipment, disposal of waste, and aseptic techniques
- Exercise sound medical judgment and excellent customer service at all times
- Current New Mexico RN License
- Ability to provide excellent patient care, appropriate to the age of the patients served in the clinic
- Articulate, good communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of computer keyboard operation
- BLS certification (within six months of employment as a registered nurse)
- Previous physician clinic experience
This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, long periods of bending, stooping, pushing, walking, and sitting. Extensive computer keyboarding may occur daily. Some exposure to disease may occur. Overtime may be required.
