Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the warehouse and ensuring that the facility has an adequate level of all items on hand, including cleaning supplies, equipment, household supplies, uniforms, office supplies, and miscellaneous items necessary for the operation of the entire institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains inventory of resident and officer uniforms, including sizes on-hand, on order, damaged, and sizes needed.
- Responsible for total laundry production, including driving a laundry truck, maintaining quality control, and overseeing delivery of linen and clothing.
- Supervises residents assigned to laundry to ensure laundry procedures and established schedule are followed.
- Catalogues, records, accounts for, and inventories all property items purchased by, transferred to, and given to the facility.
- Ensures adequate level of all items is on hand, including cleaning supplies and equipment, household supplies, office supplies, and miscellaneous items necessary for the operation of the entire institution.
- Receives deliveries from vendors, including all incoming freight, logs and checks in all freight, and marks property for appropriate departments.
- Develops and maintains an accurate data collection system.
Requirements:
- One year experience in storekeeping, including receiving, inspecting, cataloging, and storing goods and maintaining inventory records.
- Applicants will be subject to background check and criminal history investigation, must pass a drug screen and a TB test, and physical unless promoting, transferring, or demoting from another safety-sensitive position within the same agency.
