The Cleveland Clinic is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Our institution is renowned for its commitment to advanced research, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional patient care.
As a caregiver in the CVICU, you will be part of a specialized team that focuses on complex cardiac and pulmonary cases, including heart and lung transplants, ECMO, and various surgical interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Document and communicate patient conditions effectively.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assess discharge needs and provide education to patients and families.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of acute care RN experience is preferred, including military experience.
Within one year of employment, candidates must obtain:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- A strong passion for cardiac care.
- Experience in a cardiac ICU setting.
- Robust cardiac and ICU exposure.
This role requires:
- Full range of motion for patient handling and lifting.
- Extended periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to work under stress and irregular hours.
