Position Overview:

Electronics Assembly Technician (PLTX)

Bowhead is in search of an Electronics Assembly Technician to support our operations. Under guidance, the Electronics Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electronic development and production equipment, components, and systems in accordance with engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the workspace and assist with special projects as required.
  • Preferred candidates will possess experience in soldering, wire preparation, and assembly tasks.
  • While certification is not mandatory, it is highly advantageous. Relevant certifications may include J-STD-001 or IPC/WHMA-A-620.

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • One to two years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly is preferred.
  • Experience in soldering is desirable.
  • Background in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, at a basic to intermediate level.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and external contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and sound judgment, capable of working independently or collaboratively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to twist, bend, and squat as needed.

Security Clearance: Currently, there are no security clearance requirements for this role. However, due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to modify this requirement based on business needs or contractual obligations.
