Your Role:

This position encompasses more than mere coding. We require a software engineer who is eager to embrace new tools and methodologies to design innovative, secure, and versatile software systems. This includes processing-intensive analytics, advanced algorithm development, manipulation of extensive data sets, and real-time systems. Utilizing Agile development practices and programming languages such as C, Rust, Go, Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, along with cutting-edge technologies, you will independently architect, code, and validate significant features while collaborating with fellow team members to implement complex modifications. You will work closely with product management, engineering teams, and operations to devise inventive solutions that align with business requirements regarding functionality, performance, reliability, realistic implementation timelines, and adherence to development standards and principles.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in software design and development.
  • Proficiency in development using technologies such as C/C++, C#, Java, Go, Rust, or SQL and NoSQL.
  • Strong foundation in computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design.
  • Familiarity with the Linux operating system.
  • Capability to develop applications for Linux environments.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is mandatory.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in designing and optimizing resilient, secure applications that meet resource constraints.
  • Proven track record in leading initiatives to establish mature secure software development practices, resulting in reduced defect escape rates and enhanced resilience against threats.
  • Familiarity with Python, JMS, JSON/XML, SOA/RESTful applications, or web front-end technologies, including Bootstrap, Angular, HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON/XML, or Ajax.
  • Knowledge of Cross Domain guard solutions such as Forcepoint High Speed Guards, OWL Data Diodes, and ISSE Guards.
  • Ability to collaborate with system and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and develop them for production.
  • Proficiency in writing and reviewing software product documentation.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
