About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team at The Heart Institute Bradenton. As a Nuclear Medicine Technician, you will play a critical role in gathering diagnostic information through the use of radioactive materials and sophisticated radiation detecting equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine exams in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Administer prescribed pharmaceutical grade radioactive materials to patients, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to radioactive materials safety measures and protocols.
  • Operate and maintain equipment used for Nuclear Medicine exams, including Spect Cameras, PET, and PACS systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information and radioactive materials usage.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree and graduation from a Nuclear Medicine Program (NMTCB) and/or ARRT (N)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N)) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • State Regulated Radiological Tech or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) through the Texas Medical Board
  • Current certification for BLS Healthcare Provider required as per St. David's HealthCare policy
