Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

The primary role involves executing cashier-related tasks while upholding the utmost level of customer service. Responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and acknowledging every customer and colleague who approaches.
  • Accurately and efficiently processing all sales transactions while maintaining daily cash accountability.
  • Effectively communicating any customer service concerns or requests to management.

Examples of Duties:

Responsibilities may include:

  • Handling various payment methods including cash, checks, credit cards, and financing options.
  • Counting cash drawers at the start and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized front office environment.
  • Filing daily invoices and verifying out-of-state checks with the bank.
  • Contacting finance companies to confirm customer account details.
  • Processing special orders and handwritten tickets.
  • Accepting payments for various transactions.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proficiency in using hands and fingers repetitively.
  • Basic computer skills and mathematical abilities.
  • Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and employment procedures.

Physical Requirements:

To fulfill the essential functions of this position, an employee must be capable of:

  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, and listening.
  • Performing repetitive motions.
  • Lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally.

Work Environment: This position is based in a climate-controlled indoor setting.
