Job Title: 3PL Account Coordinator

Tesla is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3PL Account Coordinator to collaborate with multiple 3rd Party Warehousing partners to ensure operational excellence and drive financial oversight. This role will report to a 3PL Success Manager and be responsible for auditing invoices, scoping and driving projects to ensure our partners maintain contractual key performance indicators, adhere to Tesla policies, and provide first-class support to Tesla's Vehicle Service and Energy Teams while driving costs down.

Responsibilities:
  • Compile reports summarizing throughput, utilization, and costs by site
  • Lead meetings related to 3PL productivity rates, KPI performance, budget-to-actual comparisons and track root causes and corrective actions
  • Triage escalations from downstream requestors (e.g.: Service and Collision Centers), identify root cause and partner with 3PL Partner to drive resolution
  • Act as liaison to 3rd Party Warehouses to ensure operational excellence
  • Audit 3rd Party Warehouses to verify Tesla-mandated standards are met
  • Effectively communicate and evaluate warehouse key performance standards (KPI) including costs, dock-to-stock, inventory accuracy, fulfillment, quality, and other critical performance criteria for both 3rd Party Warehouses as well as internal Distribution Centers
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives with 3PL partners
  • Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiated
  • Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure that Tesla's pricing meets best-landed-cost expectations as well as Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in warehousing, fulfillment, and/or 3PL operations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on impact
  • Ability to learn, communicate and train other on complex processes
  • Ability to present warehouse performance and status updates effectively to executive leadership
  • Self-motivated, open-minded, collaborative, resourceful, and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to identify root cause, solve problems in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
  • Candidates must be self-starters, organized, and able to manage multiple P&L entities
