Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a skilled Nutrition Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional nutrition care to patients, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their satisfaction levels are high.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition intervention plans for patients, taking into account their age, cultural background, and medical needs.
  • Collaborate with the Nutrition Department to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition trends, research, and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
  • Provide nutrition education to patients, outpatients, and their families through the development and presentation of classes, articles, and handouts.
  • Consult with contract accounts on scheduled days, communicating with contracted facility administrators or account representatives regarding nutrition care provided.
  • Write orders for diet, supplements, enteral/parenteral nutrition, and laboratory data per hospital policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager/upper management.

Requirements

  • Professional Dietetic License required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics.
  • Licensed through ND Board of Dietetic Practice.
  • Registered through Commission of Dietetic Registration within four (4) months of hire date.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency with computers and computer applications used in the healthcare setting.
