The Indian Health Board of Minneapolis is seeking a full-time exempt Licensed Psychologist to join our Counseling Center team. Our clinic provides culturally relevant and trauma-focused clinical services, emphasizing collaboration, support, and flexibility. We take a strength-based approach in advocating for and supporting the American Indian community and other marginalized and underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic assessments and individual, family, and group psychotherapy to individuals of all ages.
- Provide clinical supervision to trainees.
- Maintain expected caseload and complete documentation in a timely manner.
- Optional: School-based services, such as therapy, teacher and staff consultation, client and community advocacy, trauma-informed trainings, and presentations to school staff.
- LP in the State of MN and in good standing.
- Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Excellent communication skills, clear and concise writing skills, the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, strong collaboration skills, and the capacity for self-reflection.
- Preferred: 5,000 hours of experience in clinical assessment and therapy of high-risk children, adolescents, and adults.
- Experience in trauma-focused therapy interventions and child & adult assessment.
- Experience and understanding of Native American/Indigenous culture and community, and a willingness to actively work on decolonizing health care systems.
- Experience/competence in supervision of psychology trainees.
