Yard Jockey

We are seeking a highly skilled Yard Jockey to join our team at FPL Food. As a Yard Jockey, you will be responsible for safely moving trailers around the warehouse yard and preparing them for unloading and loading.

• Move and spot trailers to facilitate warehouse operations and ensure efficient sorting and processing of materials.
• Timely movement and knowledge of on-hand inventory are essential to meet warehouse needs.
• Maintain a neat and orderly storage lot to maximize efficiency in servicing the facility's needs.
• Operate yard truck in a safe and responsible manner.
• Drive and operate vehicles under 15 mph in and around the facility.
• Conduct pre-trips on trailers before placing them in doors.
• Interact daily with facility personnel and comply with facility safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with dispatch.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Safe truck and trailer operating skills are required.
• Experience with backing 53-foot trailers.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver's License. CDL license preferred but not required.

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of professional social media platforms.
• Self-motivated with ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Expert capabilities in programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

M-F with rotated Weekend 5:30AM-2:30PM
