The Legal Aid Society is seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to serve as an Arraignment Supervising Attorney. This role requires a strong understanding of criminal law and procedure, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the arraignment process, ensuring timely and efficient processing of cases.
- Monitor and distribute case intake, conflict cases, and other responsibilities to team members.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including law enforcement and court officials, to ensure effective communication and case management.
- Prepare and submit daily arraignment reports, providing critical information to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve case outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a criminal defense attorney.
- Felony certification for a minimum of three years prior to applying.
- Comprehensive knowledge of criminal and constitutional law, statutory interpretation, and ethical principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
The Legal Aid Society offers a competitive salary range of $95,619 to $157,218, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid vacation, disability, and life insurance. Additionally, employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs and other benefits.
