Job Title:

Direct Support Professional - In-Home Services

Job Summary:

MERIDIAN SERVICES is seeking a caring and dedicated Direct Support Professional to work with individuals with mental health diagnoses or intellectual disabilities in their own homes or family homes.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tailored outcomes with each person assigned on the caseload, focusing on skills such as budgeting, community exploration, meal planning, organizational skills, coping skills, and physical fitness.
  • Collaborate with individuals served to achieve outcomes and participate in community activities.
  • Provide personal care assistance as needed and offer guidance and instructional teaching to build life skills.
  • Transport individuals served to community activities using personal vehicle.
Requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years old for the In-Home program.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English communication.
  • Have a vehicle with current car insurance and an acceptable driving record.
  • Pass a successful DHS background study.
  • Experience working with intellectual disabilities, autism, or mental health diagnoses.
