Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Computer Science Lecturer to join our faculty at San Jose State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Computer Science, as well as contributing to the development of the department's curriculum and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of Computer Science courses, including introductory programming, data structures, algorithms, computer systems, and software engineering.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and advising students.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Computer Science and incorporate best practices into teaching and research.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least two years of teaching experience in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with online course development and delivery.
  • Knowledge of educational technologies and tools.
