Job Title: Tenure-Track Faculty in Finance

Rochester Institute of Technology is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Finance and Accounting within the Saunders College of Business. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate finance courses, publishing high-quality scholarly research, and contributing to the college's commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.

About the Department

The Department of Finance and Accounting is a dynamic and collaborative environment that values excellence in teaching, research, and service. The department offers undergraduate programs in finance and accounting, as well as graduate programs in finance and accounting analytics. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the department's research and teaching mission, as well as participate in departmental service activities.

Responsibilities
  • Teach graduate and undergraduate finance courses, including advanced courses in fixed income management, derivatives/risk management, econometrics, blockchain/cryptocurrency, and financial analytics.
  • Publish high-quality scholarly research in top-tier finance journals.
  • Contribute to the college's commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
  • Participate in departmental service activities, including curriculum development, program assessment, and committee work.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution or equivalent.
  • Must be qualified by AACSB standards at time of hire.
  • Strong publication potential as evidenced by a promising dissertation, a promising program of research, articles under review, and/or publications in reputable journals.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the college's continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional finance or business experience and professional certification in finance.
  • Ability to mentor pre-tenure faculty and teach PhD-level methodology courses.
  • Leadership experience in college or university service.
