Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Field Airborne Support Team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in avionics and electronic systems to ensure defect-free aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Testing and Troubleshooting: Demonstrate superior technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing, maintaining test equipment, electronic systems, and troubleshooting as required.
  2. On-Call Availability: Be available on an on-call basis, with the ability to be on site or dispatched on the FAST aircraft within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream.
  3. Installation and Functional Testing: Perform, oversee, or coach the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals ensuring a defect-free system.
  4. Quality and Efficiency: Ensure quality and efficiency of installations, troubleshoots, and teaches troubleshooting processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  5. Coordination and Compliance: Coordinate with the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  6. Professional Development: Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the customer, providing one-on-one direct familiarization briefings with the customer during the road trip.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. 6 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four (4) years related experience.
  2. Preferred Qualifications: A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred. Formal training in Gulfstream product line maintenance procedures and practices preferred.
  3. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
