The Radiologist Assistant role at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital involves evaluating the appropriateness of patient imaging examinations, including indications and contraindications, lab data, and explaining risks and benefits of procedures. The RA will work with referring physician offices to gather relevant history, review imaging, and facilitate procedures as needed.

The Radiologist Assistant will perform interventional and diagnostic procedures consistent with competency and complexity as delegated by the supervising physician and as outlined in the Radiology Assistant protocols. They will communicate preliminary findings to the radiologist for official interpretation and be responsible for case documentation and communication to involved referring physicians.

The RA will also assist medical students, residents, and fellows rotating through the department, teach other healthcare professionals about patient management in Radiology, and provide leadership in the assigned Division's practice to resolve problems and improve patient care. Additionally, they will participate in Research/quality improvement efforts in the assigned Division.

This per diem role offers variable hours and requires a Bachelor's degree or master's degree, a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Rad Tech, Certification by the Certification Board of Radiologist Assistants (ARRT R.R.A), and BLS and ACLS certification.
