Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Expeditors. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse, ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations: Supervise the unloading of inbound shipments, verify required inbound paperwork with drivers, and ensure that all products are properly counted and inspected.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and prioritize the inbound and outbound activities, ensuring that all inventory is accurately tracked and stored.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all outbound shipments are complete and free of damage, and promote a culture of housekeeping and appearance at the warehouse.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between employees and management, communicating industry and brand knowledge to associates and ensuring that all security-related matters are enforced.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. logistics, supply chain management).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in warehouse operations and team management.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team environment, high tolerance for stress, and strong planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Expeditors systems, including Edoc, Expo, CFIT, and Manhattan, as well as customer service skills and ability to work effectively across all levels of development, support, and peers.
