Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Security Observer to perform critical entry control actions at Offutt Air Force Base. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining continuous knowledge of the location of employees under your control.
The successful candidate will ensure adequate observation and physical control of construction workers, regardless of whether observation is of pedestrian construction personnel, construction vehicles, or oversight of special construction items/equipment.
Additionally, you will assist with construction zone/site badge issue and control for all/any personnel requiring entry to the construction zone/sites.
Key Responsibilities- Understand and apply the principles of the Privacy Act, Title 5 of the U.S. Code, Section 552a and applicable rules and regulations.
- Understand and apply the principles of Operations Security (OPSEC) for identifying, controlling, and protecting critical unclassified information per National Security Decision Directive Number 298 and DODD series) DOD OPSEC Program Manual.
- Meet and deal successfully with the general public.
- Apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials to assigned duties.
- Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
- Conduct "Stop & Question" of persons found in closed and locked areas, parking lots, and throughout the construction site after hours and on weekends/holidays to ensure no criminal activity has or is taking place.
- Construct and write clear, concise, and accurate detailed reports if needed.
- Active TS Clearance.
- At least 2 years' experience in at least one of the following areas of expertise: Construction security surveillance, Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, Industrial or Government security involving counterintelligence, construction quality assurance, or hands-on supervisory construction experience.
- Valid state-issued driver's license or permit.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- No misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude, acts of dishonesty, assault, or battery, or felony convictions, nor receive any while employed in this position.
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
This is an in-the-field position with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, crawling, jumping, occasional running or sprinting, capable of hearing ordinary conversation at 15 feet with either ear or without benefit of a hearing aid, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
Additional Requirements- Physical examination required within 35 days before assignment to duty.
- Ability to obtain (within 30 days) any required specialty license for operating equipment or vehicles on site if needed for special circumstances or situations.
If applicable, the contractor shall fully cooperate, as required, to testify or submit statements in administrative and criminal legal proceedings.
Amentum personnel called upon to testify for the Government on any matter relating to their work under this contract, shall do so in a duty status.
