Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary

This position requires a skilled Maintenance Technician to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. The ideal candidate will maintain rolling stock, sprinkler systems, shavings bin, and perform general maintenance throughout the mill.

Key Responsibilities

•Works safely and follows all related policies and programs to assure a safe working environment.
•Reads blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work requirements
•Installs, aligns, dismantles, and moves stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
•Inspects and examines machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
•Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
•Adjusts machinery and repairs or replaces defective parts
•Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on machinery
•Other job tasks and projects as assigned

Required Skills

The qualified candidate will have knowledge in the following areas:
•AC/DC wiring methods
•AC/DC drives/motors
•PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff)
•Touchscreens
•Mechanical systems (bearing, alignment, chains, belts)
•Pneumatics and hydraulics
•Design and fabricating
•Preventive & predictive maintenance on production machinery
•Mill and Lathe experience is a plus
