Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Mayo Clinic. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients using various phlebotomy methods. You will work independently and as part of a team to provide excellent customer service and ensure a high level of patient satisfaction.

• Collect blood samples from patients using venous, capillary, arterial, and line collections methods.
• Provide rapid response to medical emergencies such as traumas and codes.
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure a high level of patient satisfaction.
• Interact with patients, nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate patient identification and quality specimen labeling.
• Use computer programs and systems to manage daily routine tasks.
• Assist with the training of students and new employees.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification from an approved laboratory certification agency (e.g. ASCP, NHA, ASPT) required for Phlebotomist II.
• Experience working in a medical field preferred.
• Ability to push a cart and walk distances.
• Excellent customer service skills.
