Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to children with various needs, including sensory processing issues, fine and gross motor delays, developmental disabilities, and other conditions affecting daily function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Evaluation
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate a child's functional abilities, strengths, and areas of need.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating goals that align with best practices and family priorities.
  • Therapeutic Intervention
    • Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to enhance fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care abilities, and overall development.
    • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to each child's needs and goals.
    • Use adaptive equipment and technology to facilitate engagement and progress.
  • Family and Caregiver Collaboration
    • Educate and involve parents and caregivers in the therapy process to support continuity and progress outside of sessions.
    • Provide home program recommendations and training to promote skill development in daily routines.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
    • Prepare reports for meetings, reviews, and interdisciplinary team discussions as needed.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, educators, and medical staff, to coordinate comprehensive care.
    • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborative planning to support holistic care approaches.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in clinical, educational, or home-based settings is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental milestones, sensory integration, and best practices in pediatric therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with children and their families.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
