Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide thorough and effective representation to clients in various facets of immigration law, including family-based and employment-based immigration, asylum applications, naturalization processes, and defense against removal.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare essential legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, and legal memoranda.
  • Represent clients during immigration court proceedings, asylum interviews, and interactions with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
  • Negotiate and mediate on behalf of clients, ensuring their rights are safeguarded and interests are prioritized.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal standards and regulations.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients through consistent counseling and follow-ups.
  • Assess and identify legal challenges and risks, proposing suitable solutions.
  • Organize and manage case files from initial consultation through to resolution.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to remain informed about the latest developments in immigration law.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
  • Prior experience as an Immigration Attorney or in a comparable role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in trial law, legal defense, mediation, hearings, legal writing, depositions, pleadings, legal research, legal advice, negotiation, litigation, legal compliance, client relations, immigration law, case management, client counseling, legal documentation, legal issues analysis, legal representation, legal consulting, legal case preparation, and legal procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
  • Proficient negotiation skills to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases efficiently.
  • Proficiency in legal software for case management and research.
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards.
