Job Summary

Harris-Stowe State University seeks a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Registrar to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Registrar's Office, managing day-to-day operations, and planning activities related to academic records, student registration, and graduation processes.

  • Lead the Registrar's Office and manage day-to-day operations
  • Plan and implement activities related to academic records, student registration, and graduation processes
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance and training as needed
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, including academic transcripts and graduation credentials
  • Collaborate with academic departments and administration to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve student success and retention

Requirements

  • Master's degree in higher education administration or related field
  • At least three years of experience in a college or university Registrar's office or related student administrative office
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, and staff
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

Working Conditions

  • Work is routinely performed in a typical interior/office environment
  • Very limited or no exposure to physical risk
