Perioperative Nurse

Job Summary:

Foothills Surgery Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Nurse to join our team. As a Perioperative Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room and perioperative areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room and perioperative areas, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
• Monitor and maintain aseptic technique and infection control practices in the operating room and perioperative areas.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state of Colorado.
• 1 year of experience in perioperative nursing, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (to administer moderate sedation).
• Advanced knowledge of critical thinking and applied critical care nursing practice.
• Specialized knowledge, skill, and abilities in empirical and practical perioperative nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
