Job Opportunity: Diesel Mechanic

Cars Towing and Transport is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Merrillville, Indiana.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on our fleet of trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in diesel mechanics
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and electronics
  • Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
  • Welding experience a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a drug test
