Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Health Information Management Assistant to join our team at Ascension Living. As a key member of our health information management team, you will be responsible for performing clerical and technical duties associated with medical records, processes, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, analyze, process, and file health information for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy.
  • Audit accuracy of electronic and manual entry, and facilitate resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Maintain smooth operational flow by assisting with general clerical duties.
  • Process requests for release of information according to regulatory requirements.
  • Notify physicians and appropriate parties of requests when applicable.
  • Perform clerical/technical duties associated with coding processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
