Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex imaging procedures, to provide high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and use high-speed, pressurized injection equipment as needed.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact effectively with patients and other care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams.
  • Accurately code and enter charges for exams performed.
  • Adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique patient needs.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT required.
  • Current state licensure and BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
