Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Leeds, AL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on crushing and screening equipment, including disassembly, overhaul, and assembly of components.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning within manufacturer specifications.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Experience with open pit mining operations and aggregate products.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • MSHA training a plus.
