Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Attorney to join our team at Maas Energy Works Inc. as Corporate Counsel. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role will provide comprehensive legal support across various functions of the company's renewable energy initiatives.

About Us:

Maas Energy Works Inc. is the leading developer and operator of agricultural waste-to-energy systems in the United States. Our mission is to design, develop, construct, and operate biogas powered renewable energy generation systems on dairy farms.

The Role:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters related to renewable energy projects.
  • Negotiate contracts for renewable energy projects, including power purchase agreements, real estate transactions, and land use agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
  • Oversee corporate governance matters, including maintaining corporate records and advising on board matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership with the California Bar.
  • 5+ years of legal experience, with expertise in real estate, corporate governance, land use, and commercial transactions.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and regulatory compliance in the context of renewable energy and environmental projects.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $220,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Location: Redding, CA 96001
