About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Full-time Driver to join our team at Cox Automotive. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles to and from auction lots, customer businesses, and other designated areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Transport vehicles to and from customer businesses and other designated areas, while observing safety rules and regulations.
  • Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate lost vehicles.
  • Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed, including inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles using a battery box and air tank.
  • Provide excellent customer service to dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, and other customers.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to constantly enter and exit vehicles.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to walk long distances.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous auction experience preferred.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
Work Environment

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is $16.83. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
