Nurse Leader Professional Development Specialist

The University of Virginia's Clinical Nurse Leader position offers a unique opportunity to drive evidence-based practice, professional development, and quality improvement in a dynamic healthcare environment.
As a key member of the Unit-Based Leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting nursing professional practice through coaching, mentoring, and training nurses and interdisciplinary team members.
Key areas of focus include:
- Professional Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical processes and programs that engage nurses in lifelong learning and maintain competencies.
- Evidence-Based Practice (EBP): Provide ongoing assessment, evaluation, and prioritization of unit-based triggers for EBP and practice change, using the UVA Health EBP process.
- Unit-based Quality Improvement (QI): Collaborate with UBL to address quality and safety concerns on the unit.
You will also contribute to the development of competencies with Central Nursing Professional Development, teach in general orientation, and direct Clin 1s to NRP projects.
This role requires a Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing, 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, and VA nursing licensure and CNL certification. Salary: $89,523.20 - $143,228.80 Annual.
