Key Responsibilities:

The Production Machine Technician is responsible for setting up and operating production machinery in accordance with established protocols. This role involves adjusting machine settings to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

  • Prepare machinery by ensuring all necessary production materials are available.
  • Make necessary adjustments to maintain production flow.
  • Replace plastic film rolls as required.
  • Assist with machine changeovers.
  • Provide support during breaks and lunch periods.
  • Help train new team members.
  • Safely operate and monitor all equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections of production runs and report any issues to maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure cleanliness of the work area.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and company policies.
  • Provide leadership and training to fellow operators.
  • Cover for colleagues during absences.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Communicate effectively with management using provided communication tools.
  • Operate various machinery including Hayseen, Fallas, Combi, Robox, Butler, Multivac, Tiromat, and Hydrovac.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-3 years of general work experience is necessary.
  • Previous experience in production or manufacturing machine operation is preferred.
  • Experience in a high-speed industrial environment is advantageous.
  • Strong decision-making and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Exhibit a sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Comfortable with data entry and proficient in computer use.
  • Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment is essential.
  • Knowledge of industrial technology is beneficial.
  • Bilingual skills are desired but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Standing and walking for 90% of the workday.
  • Bending for 60% of the workday.
  • Squatting and climbing stairs for 40% of the workday.
  • Kneeling for 50% of the workday.
  • Twisting for 80% of the workday.
Upper Extremity Use:
  • Continuous fine manipulation is required.
  • Occasional pinch-type activities with fingers.
  • Frequent power grasping and pushing/pulling activities.
  • Frequent reaching below shoulder level.
  • Continuous repetitive motion is necessary.
Work Environment:

The work environment may involve exposure to various elements such as odors, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.
