Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional care to patients in their homes. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for the set-up of related products for patients in the home setting, including therapeutics, diagnostics, high-tech ventilation, oxygen, and other miscellaneous respiratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding our services to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Ability to initiate and develop good working relationships with patients, family members, and referral sources is essential.
  • Ensures that the team plans daily events so as to be as efficient as possible with time management (e.g., minimizes travel time by planning routes ahead of time).
  • Assists with the proper scheduling of set-ups and follow-up visits according to company policies and standards.
  • Works closely with the RT Clinical Liaisons in coordinating patient discharges.
  • Ability to properly triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and other verbal and written training policies.
  • Ensures that the team follows proper procedures for accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns, and most importantly, takes appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of PromptCare's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistently.
  • Ensures that the team maintains compliance to all applicable laws, regulations, and SOPs at all times.
  • Fosters a culture wherein the team conducts activities with a mindset of delivering "white glove" service to the patients and family members.
  • Submits expense reports for travel at least once monthly and in a timely manner.
  • On-call responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School.
  • Must have current RCP state licensure in the state inquiring employment and in good standing.
  • Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states at the company's expense.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing.
  • At least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required.
  • Experience in the home care setting is highly desirable.
  • RRT certification required.
  • Current CPR-BLS certification required.
  • Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner.
