About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Engineer to join our team at American Structural Concrete. As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Robotic Field Engineer / Construction Surveyor: Establish and maintain accurate control networks for construction sites, ensuring seamless collaboration among trades and technologies.
  • Job Site Control Network Establishment: Develop and implement effective job site control networks to facilitate efficient project execution.
  • Subcontractor Submittal Evaluation: Thoroughly evaluate and incorporate subcontractor submittals, including shop drawings, to verify buildability and identify potential conflicts.
  • Team Supervision and Education: Supervise and educate rod persons and other crew members on construction techniques and best practices.
  • Request for Information (RFI) Identification: Identify and document the need for RFIs to ensure timely and effective communication among project stakeholders.
  • As-Built Drawings Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date as-built drawings to facilitate project documentation and future reference.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years of experience as a Field Engineer or Survey Crew Chief is preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of or ability to learn various software programs, including Autodesk, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Carlson.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with the project team and communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally.
  • Mathematical Skills: Higher math skills, including algebra and trigonometry, are required.
  • Survey Knowledge: Basic survey knowledge is essential for this role.
