About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical devices and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate and clean reusable equipment and instruments in accordance with departmental and OSHA standards.
  • Assemble, sterilize, store, and distribute medical devices and supplies for patient care.
  • Organize and assemble surgical case carts based on computer-generated physician preference cards.
  • Perform physical inventories of floor stock and SPD to ensure accuracy and integrity of system processes.
  • Operate and understand inventory control devices and programs.
  • Effectively communicate with inter/intradepartmental associates.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 to 12 months of practical application experience gained on the job in all facets of sterile processing considered.
  • Sterile processing experience preferred.
  • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) by IAHCSMM preferred.
  • Certified Registered Central Sterile Tech preferred.

5 Days - 8 Hours
