Description

Position Summary: As an Electrical Engineer II at RECARO Aircraft Seating GmbH & Co, you will be responsible for coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects related to IFE/Electrical or Actuation systems. You will plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned electrical engineering work, ensuring compliance with applicable Airframe requirements, IFE supplier requirements, customer requirements, accepted engineering practices, and RECARO standards. Effective communication and coordination with all disciplines and project participants are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate electrical design and integration of electronics into aircraft seats, including coordination with Designers, Design Engineers, and Project Engineers.
  • Plan, schedule, and track engineering tasks, providing detailed reports to Program Management and Engineering Management.
  • Summarize technical customer requirements, communicate them to the team, and ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Create Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) through review and interpretation of IFE/Electrical Vendor testing procedures and testing hardware.
  • Develop Grounding Bonding Calculations (ELDs) through calculations of resistance of electrical components.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on MRB actions and present resolutions to the Engineering, Quality, and Operations Departments.
  • Interface with outside suppliers during the design process.
  • Participate in telecoms with overseas engineers and program management, applying manufacturing engineering knowledge and discussing manufacturing issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering with 2-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in design, integration, and certification of Electrical Components installed in Aircraft interiors.
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft documentation systems for after-sales and aircraft configuration control systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with multicultural exposure a plus.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5 and electrical design/wire routing modules, as well as PLM-based database systems like Teamcenter, Agile, or Enovia.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and good understanding of software programming and configuration control.
