We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Brookshire Grocery Company. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality, gourmet food that exceeds our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and execute menus for our deli and catering services
  • Work closely with our deli team to promote customer service and support profitability goals
  • Assist with the planning and creation of menus for catering events
  • Ensure that all food products are cooked correctly and presented in an appealing manner
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of gourmet food and work to maximize profit through effective portion control
  • Enforce quality control and food safety standards and ensure that dated products are stocked and rotated properly
  • Promote product sales by creating visually appealing displays and using suggestive selling initiatives
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and presenting products and services

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 18 years of age required
  • One or more years of cooking-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Food Handler certification required

Work Environment:

  • Work is generally performed in a retail store environment
  • Frequently exposed to hot surfaces, extreme cold conditions, and extreme heat conditions
  • Frequently exposed to wet, slippery, or damp conditions and equipment with sharp blades or edges
  • Quiet to moderate noise level
