Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our safety team in Toledo, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies
    • Incorporate Nooter Construction Company's safety policies and procedures into daily operations.
    • Assist all departments in developing action plans to reduce or eliminate occupational illnesses and injuries through the use of a Job Safety Assessment (JSA).
  • Monitor and Evaluate Job Site Safety
    • Monitor and evaluate job site safety on a daily basis to reinforce good safety behavior and identify unsafe conditions, procedures, performance, and follow-up to ensure they are corrected.
  • Perform Safety Audits
    • Perform safety audits and provide the appropriate corrections.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's degree or equivalent combination of technical training through associations such as OHST, CHST, COSH, ASP, or CSP, or related experience. Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926 standards is also required.
