About the Job

We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a diesel mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

As a diesel mechanic at Penske, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment, including trucks and trailers. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues with our vehicles, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

We are looking for a diesel mechanic who is experienced in working with diesel engines and has a strong understanding of preventative maintenance and repair techniques. If you are a skilled diesel mechanic looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Work on a variety of equipment, including trucks and trailers
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
Requirements
  • 6 years of experience working with diesel engines and equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • ASE certification in diesel engines and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
